Hi Christa. My name is Anna Bruno. My dad was on a mission trip in Port-au-Prince, staying in the Hotel Montana. He was killed along with five others from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. I read your story in the Women’s Health magazine back when it was published and looked at it again today while looking at a scrapbook my mom put together of my dad with my sisters and me. I’ve worked with Disaster Accountability Project on Haiti efforts, but didn’t get what I needed from that organization. I just wanted to reach out and say that your organization sounds really great. I read some of your posts and saw pictures and you’ve done amazing work.

Hi Christa,

I am from a small town in NSW Australia. I just watched your story on “I Survive” on pay t.v. I was living in Jasper canada at the time of the earthquake and remember how much our community banded together to raise money towards helping those in need after the earthquake. You showed amazing courage and dignity in retelling your story and I wish you all the best in your endeavours in raising money helping those in need in Haiti.

Hi Christa, I hope everything with Wenson turned out alright, I just read every blog entry and when I got to the top was hoping to see how he is doing here in America. I just heard about your amazing story after watching I Survived and I’ve spent the last couple of hours reading and watching videos online about everything you went through. I can’t imagine being in that situation and remaining as tough as you did. I broke my ankle a couple of years ago and threw a hissy fit when I couldn’t get painkillers within the first hour! You and your brother and the others involved in your story are truly inspiring people, and I wish you well from North Carolina. Thank you.

I’m trying to find scholarship opportunities for Darline Bertil, a young Haitian woman who lost both her arms in the earthquake and is now trying to attend college in the United States. She has already been accepted to Northwestern College, a Christian College in Minnesota. I’ve searched the web for hours and found a few things, but I was wondering if you might have any other resources.

Dear Christa,

My name is Sanae from Japan. In the recent earthquake in New Zealand, one of the language students from Japan was saved but had to have his right leg amputated.
Reading his interview, he seems to be in good spirits. He is brave, just like you are.
He is only 19 but says he would like to use his English skills in the future.
I will try and write to him letting him know about you and your activities.
