Wenson passed the visa interview today! He’ll be coming to Alaska in a few days to live with my parents and start high school at the Anchorage School District. I’m so thankful for all the help we’ve received in this effort, most especially from my father and John Engle.

Hi Christa,
I actually was watching a story on the tripling of pregnancies due to sexual violence in the camps and then saw your story.
I commend you for your compassion.
Congrats on the visa for Wenson! (I practice immigration law in CA so I know how difficult it is to get a visa).
Ravi
Hi Christa, I hope everything with Wenson turned out alright, I just read every blog entry and when I got to the top was hoping to see how he is doing here in America. I just heard about your amazing story after watching I Survived and I’ve spent the last couple of hours reading and watching videos online about everything you went through. I can’t imagine being in that situation and remaining as tough as you did. I broke my ankle a couple of years ago and threw a hissy fit when I couldn’t get painkillers within the first hour! You and your brother and the others involved in your story are truly inspiring people, and I wish you well from North Carolina. Thank you.
